Maybe it's the bad weather, or maybe just I'm in a bad mood. But today everything is bugging me, so I decided to create a list of my personal "pet peeves."
-Nose Breathers
Hey, you know, it's just fine if you breath through your nose, heck it's great actually. Although, it's not so great when you breath through your nose and it whistles or make some weird/gross sound. Please, go blow your nose or something cause I don't want to hear your snot moving around. Gross.
-Stupid Questions with Obvious Answers
I encounter this one a lot. Like when someone comes up to me and there is a pile of opened envelopes and magazines with postage stamps on them, then the ask "Oh, is this the mail?" No, it's not. I just felt like putting all that there to confuse. Of course it's the mail! Don't ask me a question when the answer is right in front of you.
-Noisy Eaters and Loud Gum-chewers
This one goes along with Nose Breathers. These are the people who chew with their mouth open, and sometimes have too much saliva in their mouth. Oh, and don't try to talk to me if you're doing one of these, I'm sorry but I can't hear your voice over the food/gum in your mouth.
-Dressing your age
Working at Target has introduced me to this one. When these 40-something mothers come shopping with their teenage daughter and try on the same outfits out of the Juniors' section. You're not 17, buy clothes in the Women's section please. Teen clothing is meant for, well, TEENAGERS. They don't fit you nor do they cover up all the bits.
-Phone Etiquette
Given, there are multiple rules to phone etiquette but the one that gets me every time is when someone calls you multiple times but doesn't leave a voicemail or try to text you. Really people? If I can't answer my phone but it's important maybe you should try communicating through different means. Or at least leave a message so I'm not freaking out when I see I have 20 missed calls.
-Slow Walkers
Contrary to popular belief, short legs do not equal a slow walking pace. I like to consider myself a power-walker. I move quickly and with purpose (or at least I like to think so.) It's so annoying when I'm trying to get to class or somewhere at work and people meander slowly. It's not so bad if you are off to the side or out of the way, but if you're smack dab in the middle of the hallway/aisle you're being a pain.
-Music ADD
I love music, most people do. But it drives me bonkers when someone changes the song. There's a timing aspect to this one. If you change the song in the first few seconds that's fine. If you change the last few seconds that's fine too. But it's when people change the song after listening to it for a minute. AGGGGHH! Why? It's just enough time for you to get into the song, but not long enough for you to fully enjoy it.
Phew, you know, I think that's enough for the day. I don't want to throw out too many negative feelings, that could be bad. Also, please note that this list wasn't inspired by one person, but many. So as a helpful and friendly reminder to any of you reading this, avoid these habits around me, if you don't you might just get swift smack to the head.
HAAHA, your blog is funny!
